Preparing a material-compatibility enquiry for chemical service
Gather fluid composition, service conditions and wetted-component information before reviewing valve materials and seals.

Application needs and considerations
Start with complete fluid information
A fluid name alone is not enough for a materials discussion. Provide composition, concentration, temperature range, pressure and any known solids or impurities. Include relevant conditions during cleaning or changes of service.
Review wetted components separately
Review the body, internal components and seals individually. Experience with one material under one condition does not establish suitability of the complete valve for every service. Check the specific model configuration against project requirements.
Share existing project constraints
Include specified materials, connection standards, operation methods and documentation requirements with the enquiry. FLINCK can use this information for product discussions. Suitability for special media or critical service requires further confirmation by project technical personnel and the supplier.
Organize the enquiry
- Fluid composition, concentration and service conditions
- Existing model, wetted parts and seal materials
- Connection dimensions, operation and installation conditions
- Open questions and project technical requirements
This article does not establish compatibility of any specific material or replace a project design review. Base selection on applicable product documentation and confirmed service conditions.
