Prepare the medium, control requirements and installation interfaces for a focused water-system valve enquiry.
Application needs and considerations
Identify the service and medium
Raw water, circulating water and wastewater have different service conditions. When contacting FLINCK, identify the pipeline location, medium, known solids and available temperature and pressure data. Mark unknown values as unconfirmed rather than substituting estimates for design information.
Describe the required function
State whether the duty is isolation, flow control or backflow prevention, and whether manual operation or an actuator is required. For integration with a control system, provide the existing control requirements for review with the project team and supplier.
Check interfaces and installation
Prepare the connection standard, installation dimensions and maintenance access as well as nominal size. For replacements, provide the nameplate, model and dimensional drawing. Similar appearance does not establish interchangeability.
