Service conditions

A check valve opens and closes automatically in response to fluid forces to restrict reverse flow. Its behavior depends on disc motion, velocity, differential pressure and installation orientation. Selection should consider flow changes and pump shutdown, balancing forward pressure drop against closing response.

A heating jacket uses an external heating medium to help maintain valve-body temperature where solidification or viscosity changes matter. Review process and jacket conditions separately, including heating connections, drainage, heated coverage, draining at shutdown and restart.
